Every one is passing one’s own way, wherever one goes.

The idea of the work is to visualize ultimate vulnerability — moving through the world by feel, following one’s own path without knowing what lies ahead.

Technically, the performance art was constructed as follows. I placed ‘mines’ soaked in a special chemical compound  on a ‘path’ of sand and earth. As the moisture evaporated from their surface, the slightest touch caused them to explode. I walked barefoot along the ‘path’, with my eyes closed, never knowing which step would provoke an explosion. The ‘mines’ were visible to the audience, who could watch the process unfold.
